Lockie hearts sweet peas

I busted Lockie admiring my sweet peas this morning, and so, being stuck at home waiting for The Telstra Man to come and fix all our internet woes, decided to make a little wreath for his head (Lockie, not The Telstra Man).

He really liked it. I was worried that wearing such an accessory might compromise the little guy's masculinity, but he doesn't even lift his leg to pee so I don't think it's a big deal.

Beach Pants

My favourite thing to do is take Lockie for a walk on the beach. He looks pretty thoughtful here, but beach-time is usually sUpEr CrAzY tImE!!!



See how he blends into the sandstone on Gunyah? He is a master of disguise. Also please note the flappy ears. They kill me.

The only thing I would rather do than go for a walk with Lockie on the beach is go for a walk with Chris and Lockie on the beach. That's my idea of heaven.

Blue and green weekend

It was a quiet-ish one. We ate silverbeet from our garden, and eggs from our girls.

We caught some Zs.

We planted a beautiful "Little Gem" magnolia and a couple of gardenias. Lockie helped.

And I glimpsed a bit of quirky randomness in an otherwise bo-ring place. "The Wigwam". Awesomeness.

Daydream* laid a blue egg

Which was a pretty amazing start to our weekend.

Also, Chris made delicious pizzas.

I looked at my tulips.

And Lockie had a swimming race with his new friend Jess. First prize was a stick.

It was all pretty perfect, and I'm feeling back to my old self.

*Yes, we have a chicken called Daydream. Naming rights were given to 6 year old Laney next door, which I hope explains this.

Lockie

So, this is our little buddy, Lockie. Also known as Lock, Lockiepants, or just plain Pants. Don't know where the Pants bit came from. It just happened.

He's a lab x cocker spaniel, and his hobbies include making friends with everyone who crosses his path, performing hilarious antics, chilling at the beach or in the backyard and being handsome.

LOOK AT THOSE TOES. Isn't he the best?
